Artist Statement:
My artwork is an ongoing meditation on presence — the fleeting interplay of sensation, memory and form. I am drawn to abstraction because it allows me to explore colour, gesture and material in their purest expressions, free from literal description. Through bold marks in oil pastel, ink, charcoal and paint, my compositions become visual reflections of experience — places not fixed in geography but alive in memory, atmosphere and motion.
I am interested in the tension between structure and chaos, how a composition can hold stillness within movement, and how colour and shape can evoke emotional states without depicting anything familiar. Each piece is an inquiry — a way of letting intuition guide the dialogue between the medium and my own inner landscape, sampling moments of lived experience and translating them into visual form.
This process mirrors the way we remember: not as exact replicas, but as impressions shaped by mood, light and sensation. The works emerge from rhythmic marks, layered surfaces and dynamic contrasts, inviting the viewer into a space that is at once contemplative and alive with energy. Through abstraction I aim to create work that is both visceral and poetic, offering moments of reflection, resonance and renewed seeing.
