Martine SAINT ELLIER

I am a self-taught watercolorist artist living in France.
I have discovered watercolor since 6 years now and it has quickly become an overwhelming passion.

I like to create colorful atmospheres.
Whether I paint the landscapes around me, in my beautiful Loire Valley region, or seascapes or nature or animals, I always look for the poetry behing the image.
I do not try to render every detail, only some chosen ones because I want to be a painter, not a photographer.

Since 2015, I sell my artworks all around the world.

Self-taught artist.
Since 2016, I have been attending several watercolor workshops with well-known artists.

2020 : 1st watercolor prize at the 34th Art exhibition in Descartes (37) France.
2018 : 1st watercolor prize at the Parcay-Meslay Artistic Salon - Loire Valley - France
2017 : The french national magazine named Matou Chat writes an article of several pages about my cats watercolors (january 2017)
