Liam Hennessy

I was born in Suffolk, England in 1981, In 2012 I received a degree in fine art from the Colchester School of Art.

I am particularly influenced by early 20th century abstraction, and the idea of the painted surface as a field of sensations and rhythms which bypass representational conventions and touch directly on the nervous system.
I tend to work intuitively and spontaneously without a clear idea of where each piece will end, preferring to let the process of creation itself direct the finished form of the work.
