Artist Statement:
I am Alexandra Romano, an abstract artist based in Toronto, Canada. I create bold, vibrant paintings designed to stand out—artworks that become focal points, ignite conversation, and bring energy into any space.
My practice celebrates the freedom of abstraction while drawing inspiration from nature, geometric forms, and the world around me. I work primarily with acrylic and oil paint, but I also experiment with inks, spray paint, and mixed media to expand the expressive possibilities of each piece.
I paint intuitively, building layers through unorthodox tools and my own signature techniques to create depth, movement, and originality. Watching a composition emerge through this process is my meditation—an immersive, joyful experience that keeps my work fresh, dynamic, and alive.

Influenced first by my father’s artistic versatility and later by Van Gogh’s belief in painting through doubt, my work reflects a love of expressive, intuitive abstraction.
