Your Art Collection, Part 2 – KonMari

Pink Blossom by Simon Fairless Painting, Acrylic on Canvas 26.0 inch (66.0 cm) x 26.0 inch (66.0 cm) $592

After you’ve inventoried your current art collection, use the KonMari method! As Marie Kondo practices in her books and also on her Netflix show, Tidying Up, ask your self about each piece of art individually – does this artwork spark joy? If so, note on your inventory list to keep that artwork. If the artwork does not spark joy for you, thank it, and graciously create a group of artwork you’re ready to part with. Once you have tidied up your art collection, the open spaces create room for bringing in new pieces to your home. Enjoy this process, it can be life changing! And if you haven’t used the KonMari method before, do a little research or binge watch Tidying Up on Netflix. It will sharpen your spark joy skills to practice on your closet before your art collection.
