These cameras are often referred to as &#8220;toy&#8221; cameras because of their basic construction and inexpensive price point.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5726\" style=\"width: 360px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.lomography.com\/holga\/family\/holga-35mm\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5726\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5726 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.zatista.com\/art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/holga-35mm-400x311.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"311\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-5726\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">microsites.lomograpy.com<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Diana first appeared in the early 1960s, and the Holga in the early 1980s. \u00a0Both were produced as \u00a0inexpensive novelty cameras and became widely popular with the public. These cameras have light weight plastic bodies, manual film advance and most have no flash. The images are imperfect, just like the cameras themselves. While they might not be for everyone, one just needs to look at their current popularity to see their appeal.
