Erin Galvez explores image creation with process-orientated applications of a wide range of techniques. Using traditional and non-traditional tools, she has developed a sense of control in her practice with acrylics. One of the strengths of her work lies in the fact of its endeavor in a unique sense of material investigations tending toward abstraction as a primary discourse. This process has lent itself to a quality of playful curiousness in her work. She utilizes drawing and painting, chiefly acrylic and mixed media on canvas and paper, and has engaged in installation and printmaking. She focuses on color and pattern in her work, with an attention to surface. Her abstract works convey a spirited approach to the craft of creating art objects that subtly transmit concepts by rote series.

Over the last ten years, Erin Galvez has worked as a freelance artist working specifically within the commercial, residential, and hospitality markets. Her work can be found in both commercial public and private collections worldwide. In 2015 she made the change from the commercial focus to pursuing her own contemporary vision as a full-time studio artist.
